rugby game

Rugby game

It was a normal friday day.  We had a rugby game we were facing Awapuni.   Are kick off Rori booted the ball super far everyone chased it.   He picked up the ball and ran it straight up the guts to Cash he got him down on the ground.   And the other team was blowing over.    We were trying to push them out of the ruck.

It didn't work they got the ball to the half back he passed it out to one of the backs he ran but then passed it to another back and he got it out to the winger he was extremely fast I was chasing after him but he got the try.   They had to kick off the half back kicked it Momo got the ball and started running he passed it out to Rori he was zig zagging in and out of the other team.

He got tackled,  cash got the ball and started running he got through the team but someone got his ankle he had a tight grip everyone else jumped on him he was pushing through the team Cash was about 1 metre away from the  try line he had to off load it to Cory he ran and got the try.

It was half time and they were now beating us.  They kicked it towards us, Mahanga caught the ball he was running two people tackled him he held the ball out but they won the ruck and got the ball.  They got a try.It was a really nice game.  We put our hands in the middle and shouted three cheers for Awapuni 1 for the ref 2 for the supporters.  Then lined up and shook hands.

They beat us and we had a big drink of water,  took our boots off and put our shoes on got all of our stuff then we jumped in the car and left the school grounds.

Back to school

4 weeks ago I came back to school for the first time since the holidays had started last year. On the second week we walked all the way to Hamanatua stream, the sun was blazing down upon us. On the next day we walked up to Mangaroa, it was really steep, and the rocks made it easy to slip. The fields stank with cow poo, luckily it didn't put me off my exquisite lunch .

On the 3rd week, on the Friday we were sorted with parent transport to go to the beach. Hamish, Max's dad was the parent that would push me, Tre, Millie and Cory into waves he pushed me on a good as wave I stood up started turning and riding on the wave then it just smashed me off my board.

It was week 3 and we were going to Te Poho -O- Rawiri marae and we learnt a song called Mama panda, its about the elders making bread for the younger.  And then I realized we were going places of our pepeha.
